Major Blog Revamp

Okay guys, I’m going to shake things a little bit around here…

I had a big article to be published today but I decided to do something else instead.

If you see the header image (above) you can read it says:

Learning Internet Marketing Online

While I AM learning Internet Marketing and I’m also willing to teach you whatever I know that might be helpful for you, I don’t want to focus on the little things that you can find in every other blog.

I think that would be boring and dull if you ask me and that’s definitely not what I’m aiming for.

Now, I’m currently enrolled in a number of different marketing trainings and these include leaders like:

  • John Thornhill
  • Dave Nicholson
  • Marc Milburn
  • Omar Martin
  • Corbett Barr
  • Kris Mainieri
  • Liz Tomey
  • Jeff Dedrick
  • Cody McKibben

I’m not “name dropping” here to soft sell you into their trainings or anything like that.

I’m telling you this, just so you know I’m busting my butt off in order to provide you with the absolute BEST information possible compiled from different and highly trusted resources.

I don’t believe in gurus and neither on “learning everything” from just one single guy and I also believe that neither you should do that.

So, expect a GOOD shake here on the blog and hopefully I’ll be done with it very soon.

Catch up later, take care!

Sergio Felix

PS. I won’t put the blog under maintenance mode so if you’re suddenly seeing some weird stuff going on, it’s me moving the furniture around. ;-)

Hah! You have a mess as well in your workplace Kim?

Seems like it is the trend lately… So maybe we are being “trendy” these days? lol

    Hey Sergio,

Well you know I am already a fan of what you have done so far on this blog so I look forward to the new look once you have finished moving the furniture around.

However it looks like you have massive amounts of training ongoing right now…are you sure you need that much?

Take care and I can’t wait to see what you come up with next.

      Hey Patrick,

      Thanks for the support man!

About the trainings they all end up in one common factor… create something to sell.

So it’s not that much, everyone has its own way to achieving it, so I’m just picking what I need from where I see it, that’s it.

But I won’t be buying anything else in a looooong time, that’s for sure!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting man, always appreciated, take care you too! ;-)

As you know, I have joined training programs with some of the folk mentioned in your and others beside. It was a little overwhelming to begin with, until I organised myself into a system. I have a basic business model, which is laid out in steps and I link this to what each coach/mentor has to say on that particular step. Doing it this way seems to work for me, but unlike you, I cannot promise not to buy another shiny WSO!

        1. Reply

          Hey Gary,

Cool that you managed to create a system that keeps you accountable with your lists of activities.

Everyone operates differently so if you already found your way to be as productive as you can, then by all means keep doing it like that and keep moving forward!

PS. My review on your new release is almost done. Will let you know by e-mail, thanks! ;-)

I always said you can never have enough training but wow, Sergio! How in the world are you keeping up?

I don’t know but I think it is a little much. You need to concentrate on 1 or 2 things. See they each have a different perspective and with so many different people teaching you the same or basically the same thing but with their own twists it can cause a massive confusion.

You should weed through them and pick the most important ones and go from there…only saying this because didn’t you write in the beginning about information overload, seems to me that is sort of what is going on again!

Anyway, I certainly can NOT tell you what to do, only you can make that judgement for yourself.

Best of luck to you and see you over at MUA :)

      Hey Linda,

There’s no information overload going on here at all. In fact, this update is about focusing on one thing only and that is, finally building my own business.

The original update for this day was very, very long but I decided to leave all the explanations out and just publish a very small announcement instead, which is the one you already read above.

However, before you guys start thinking I’m just changing some colors on the blog or just buying my way into even more trainings, I’m not doing any of that.

I am planning to change EVERYTHING here, for the better.

The e-mail list, the site, the blogging frequency, what I focus my time on, everything is going to be tweaked, optimized and if broken, then fixed.

Some may like the changes, some may not, there’s not much else to do but to wait and see!

Thanks for your suggestions but fear not Linda. I believe I have never been more focused than right now so take care and see you inside MUA!

      Take care! ;-)

You certainly picked a group of guys to learn from Sergio.

All of your business plans should be a means to an end result, ultimately to make money from your endeavours.

You have all the learning and training material you need. It’s time to get some results.

We can study from thought leaders 24/7 but without taking action and putting into practice what you have learned we may as well give up.

I know we talked on Twitter today, and you have something up your sleeve which I am excited to see.

    You have my attention!

      Hey Dan,

I certainly picked a few mate, you’re the only one missing there! ;-)

      In your own words…

Make money from my endeavours: YES.

…time to get some results: YES!

…without taking action and putting into practice what you have learned we may as well give up: NEVER!

Thank you for your support Dan.

I know you have been a key element in making me go forward (just as the rest of the guys here) so I just wanted to make sure you’re aware of that!

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts with me, you know I really appreciate your time and consideration.

Take care and speak tomorrow! ;-)

I know I’m the only one not there. It’s funny, I had a chat with JT about mentoring and he thinks I should have done it last year.

I have a plan of action this year, but it’s like you said “About the trainings they all end up in one common factor… create something to sell” I would like to be a little different in the same way.

Thanks for your comments Sergio much appreciated.

        BTW mail :-)

          Hey Dan,

Well you already have a massive following as you keep raising the bar in everything you do and how you keep helping a lot of your readers through your site.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if you launched a coaching course and achieved some huge success with it.

You really have earned it and I like your idea of doing the same with your coaching in a little different way.

People get tired of the seeing the same names… That’s why industry leaders have to jump back and forth to doing coaching for high paying clients, seminars, conferences.

They can’t sell anything to regular people because a common guy just won’t be interested in them anymore.

That’s the whole beauty of having a fresh name out there. One that remains transparent, crystal clear, honest, genuinely caring and best of all, hype free.

It’s David vs Goliath, I keep seeing that all the time.

So by all means go for it Dan, you know you have my full support on this (less than five people can claim this from me btw)

Take care and speak later, I still need to do a lot of stuff here! ;-)

I cant wait to see the changes around your blog man. After seeing those huge names I know this is going to be one of the blogs I start checking first. Anyone learning from so many great marketers is sure to follow in their footsteps. You can bet that ill be here soaking up some of that knowledge that will trickle(hopefully more like pour) down.

      Hey Chris,

Glad you got interested man! I always put a lot of efforts in what I do so if you like these guys I mentioned here, I’m pretty sure you’ll be able to pick up a few cool things from here.

      Take care and speak soon!

PS. You did an outstanding job with your videos, keep it up!

Hi, Sergio. Hope you don’t have too much of a battle with your office and management of maintaining your blog! The picture you include above reminds me of my home office! Barbara, my wife, is always telling me how unorganized I am, but I’m in good company; after all, Albert Einstein was messy, too, and I have seen numerous photos of well-known people (Al Gore, for example) with extremely messy offices. So, you’re in good company, too. I have read, too, that messiness (many college profs. are messy) is a sign of intelligence (hope that’s true!), so we can feel somewhat good about it. Stay with it and good luck. Am looking forward to seeing new things develop on your blog.

      Hey Joe,

Wow man, I loved your comment since it made me feel very good about my workplace mess haha!

My friends and all the people that get to see my workplace always get scared from the huge mess they see but I always say it is an “organized mess” as I know exactly where every single thing is at, without even looking for it.

So I don’t know, you may actually be right on that thought or at least, I hope so!

Thank you for stopping by and commenting Joe. I’m still moving stuff around here but I’m positive I will be done within a day or two.

Take care, speak soon and have a great weekend! ;-)

    Hi Sergio

I like the new look already, very clean.

Great list of people to bounce ideas off, and I’m sure the key thing you’ve been told from all of them is to have one of your own products and then build on it. Everyone has to start somewhere, and with all the connections you should be able to do a 4 figure launch and become “an overnight success” to those who don’t understand all the hard work you need to put into this industry.

Look forward to seeing and trying to help you promote the product.

    1. Reply

      Hey Andrew,

Glad you’re digging the new site and love your projected figures too man!

This is the first time somebody makes a rough estimate on what I could possibly reach with a first launch and I think those are pretty good expectations so thanks again for the good vibes.

I did a bit of research on how to deliver my first product and even though I now know that the “formula” is to create a product launch with spare videos while creating buzz at the same time, I want to deliver my first product completely hype-free.

It will be perfectly ok with me, if I don’t make more sales because of doing it like this.

I want to show the level of value that I can provide first and if it all works out for all parties (affiliates, buyers and myself) then by all means, we can take our relationship farther and do something bigger!

Thank you for offering already to be an affiliate. I have some great things prepared for everyone that has been supporting me here on the site.

Take care and have a great Sunday Andrew, looking forward to speak again soon! ;-)

That’s a lot of learning, Sergio!

I am glad that you are keeping yourself busy with learning (it helps you to be a better teacher for all of us – Thanks Sergio!).

I also like the change here. Seems like a lot of people are switching to Genesis these days?. I was planning to do the same, but not sure whether I should do it or not. Should I really follow others and invest in another framework? Or stand out in the crowd by using a different frame work ;).

    Anyways, like the new design.

    Thanks for the update, Sergio,

    Jeevan Jacob John

      Hey Jeevan,

Being an Engineer forces me to always make educated and justified decisions and my recommendations here are nothing but the same.

I currently have a service for local offline business in which I offer hosting and micro site development using WordPress as the CMS platform.

I own full developer’s licenses for many frameworks including Thesis, StudioPress, Elegant Themes and have bought stand alone themes from other third parties as well.

This has been done to have more flexibility on my business and it is not a case of “this is better than this other” kind of thing.

I will write more about this Thesis to Genesis framework migrate change but basically, I would recommend to use whatever you’re more comfortable with.

Thanks for the kind comments and speak soon Jeevan!

And I thought I was overdoing it with the number of trainings I had signed up for! How do you manage to keep up with it all Sergio?

I have trouble finding time to listen to all the audios and all the video trainings that I have and keep up with social media, writing blog posts & articles and emailing my list.

I do plan out my week and days and make my to do lists but there is still a ton of stuff I have to catch up with.

I have been called a professional student and it looks as though you are too – for the moment at least. But, we probably will always go on learning. Thirst for knowledge is an incredible thing. Good luck with it all Sergio!

    1. Reply

      Hey Sandy,

I know you’re a great A-list internet marketing student and you have proven it with all the things you have done!

For me, keeping up with all these trainings is not that hard since there are always points in which I don’t agree with.

I do a lot of mind mapping on what I want to do and just check out what everyone says about a particular topic.

From there, I pick the resource I like the most and move on to the next task.

If I were to do every single thing I’m being told, I think I would never accomplish anything.

Thanks for stopping by and looking forward to that guest post on your site Sandy, take care! ;-)

You definitely seem to put in a lot of effort. The web doesn’t really need another copycat internet marketing blog so it’s a good thing you want to be unique.

      Hah, thank you Cat!

I was checking the site on an iPad yesterday and I actually thought it looked very bad :(

It looks great on a regular monitor but I might have to check how to make it a little bit more visually attractive for iPads as well in the near future.

Thanks for the compliment on it! ;-)
