It seems you’re deeply in love with Thesis framework :P.

Anyways, I’m looking forward to the changes mate.

      Hey Devesh,

      LOL not really mate.

I am trying to showcase my readers that Genesis is a really sturdy platform and I was trying to have the blog customized without the need of any manual editing or coding.

Unfortunately StudioPress has to maintain a LOT of themes (40+) and they haven’t been able to solve the header feature yet.

If you get rid of the wrap and the padding the css gets stuck at some fixed number so I can’t deal with that, still, I think I’m going to be changing themes a lot here.

After all I want to focus more on wordpress themes so why not?

Thanks for stopping by Devesh ;-)

        Ahh :D I see – I can understand where you’re coming from.

Totally agree, Genesis is a powerful framework. I don’t think you can customize the blog without the need of any manual editing. In that case I think thesis is better because you could easily customize the color, size & many other elements from the Design page.

What exactly the header issue? I didn’t had any problems with the header part or wrap class.

          Hey Dev,

According to the forums, this just happens if you upgrade from a previous version in Prose and there’s an easy workaround to fix it.

If I had to pick ONE theme from all the themes I have worked with, that would be Thesis hands down.

Thanks for chiming in Dev, have a great Sunday. ;-)

I’m looking forward to the changes. But I’m also interesting in why you’re doing it. Is it to earn more money as an affiliate, or lower the bounce rate etc… ? :-)

      Hey Jens,

Blogging is taking way too much time from me and I think that if I focused on product creation I would help a lot more than just writing about random things here.

Will keep the update frequency to a minimum and then take a decision about it. ;-)

OK – well thanks for the update.

It is YOUR blog after all! Blogging takes a lot of time, I am giving it a break for now only cause I got other things going on – might not be around for awhile – well I’ll be around but not sure I will be able to think – ha!

Good luck with whatever it is you are up to!

      Hey Linda,

Blogging DOES take a lot of time.

I have seen more and more people stop writing and focus more on income generation tasks and I think that’s perfectly fine.

Lately I have been thinking that a blog should only be up there so people can get to know you.

If we focus way too much on writing and sharing and never getting out of that circle, it’s just not gonna happen unless, of course, you want to BE a blogger.

I was going to take the articles down and put a sweet landing page instead and share all my content INSIDE a protected membership area but with that, I think I would be shooting myself on the foot.

That’s the explanation why the posts are actually under the “BLOG” menu, they are not going to be the first thing you see when you land on MWS.

So yeah, changing things a bit, hope that clears the “mistery”! LOL ;-)

I see – I have been wanting to get away from the blogging thing as well. Like you said if you just keep on writing and visiting blogs – where the heck is that going to get you? New friends and people who trust you but absolutely no money in the pocket which is what we are all here to do!!

So, it makes good sense to me and sounds like you have a good plan. I too have been thinking about a membership area – I do a lot of thinking but then I get stuck on how to implement it *sigh*

Anyway – thanks for the explanation.

        Catch ya later,
        Linda

Hey Linda, Looks like you’re reading my mind all the time!

Right now I have three projects pending with membership sites but I want to clarify this is NOT to make money (yet) though, I just need to understand exactly how membership sites work first and I’ll worry about the business model second.

I’ll use three different approaches for this:

          1. WishList Member (the industry standard) / Digital Access Pass (expensive)
          2. Premise by StudioPress. (affordable)
          3. E-mail Delivery with hidden pages (free if you have an e-mail autoresponder)

I’ll basically will spread these over three domains I have (including this one) but right now I’ll be focusing on learning how to layout custom made themes with Headway Themes.

Thanks for jumping in Linda and hope that sheds some light! ;-)

Glad you put your header back so I’ll look forward to hearing about those changes as well. I have no doubt whatever they’ll be, they’ll be good.

      Hey Adrienne,

Yeah I managed to get the header back in place. ;-)

I created a logo a few days ago so I might try switching the B&W picture for a smaller and more optimized image for the site.

And the changes here will be more about modularizing my content, I have big plans for that so I just hope I can “create” enough time in order to do that. LOL

Speak soon and thanks for coming by Adrienne! ;-)

    Hey Sergio,
Blogging certainly does take up a huge amount of time.
I already know you are going to make the right decision as to what to do next…whatever that may be.
In just a few short months you have already turned this into a “must read” platform so I am really looking forward to seeing where your focus is going to move next.
    Patrick.

Thank you for the really kind (and cool) words Patrick.

I realized some time ago I’m not going to earn too much just by writing here on MWS so I thought about just sharing whatever I can to help people out.

These last days I’ve been working like a madman on a client’s site and it has been fun and I have learned a lot but it has also literally taken all of my time.

I’ll try to finish that site by Friday and hopefully I’ll be able to get back to sharing and creating.

Thank you for supporting me Pat, it really means a lot man, ttyl! ;-)
