On this quick post I want to show you how to change a wordpress theme.
I have included a quick video in which I highlight some basic actions such as uploading and installing a new wordpress theme.
And also how to switch or change your current wordpress themes as well.
This update is part of the Niche Site Experiment which I talked about on the past article called: First Niche Site Experiment
So without any further preparation, here’s the video on how to do it.
Video: How To Change Your WordPress Theme
Note: You need to have the Genesis Framework in order to make either the Amped or Prose theme work.
What Every Blogger Should Know
Every single person that owns a blog, needs to know how to upload, install and be able to switch/change their own wordpress themes.
And by “changing your own wordpress theme” I don’t mean customizing the theme, that’s another whole different thing.
Configuration and settings can be more daunting tasks but as far as changing a theme (as in switching to another) you should be able to do that by yourself.
I had a bit of a “blooper thing” before writing this article.
A few days ago, I was talking on twitter with Daniel Sumner about starting a niche site.
He suggested to check out Pat Flynn’s niche site page and I almost immediately replied that Ed Dale was amazing too and that he was more my style.
Pat was helpful enough to thank Dan for recommending him to me and even Pat himself gave me the direct link for his niche site resources page a few seconds afterwards.
Oops… I felt so embarrassed and quickly replied thanking Pat for it!
He just laughed so it actually ended up good and right now I’m checking out all the niche resources there.
Here’s the image proof…
(I inverted the order of the tweets so you can see how they happened from top to down)
Never under estimate the big bloggers as they are always listening! ;-)
Hope the video helped you understand how easy it is to change a wordpress theme by yourself and hope to speak soon.
